Dear Statesmen Supporters:
Welcome Back! After the uncertain and unpredictable previous pandemic year, we are optimistically looking ahead to a return to full seasons of Delta State Athletics. Last year brought many challenges and resulted in compressed, restricted, and in some cases, cancelled seasons for our programs. We have missed the atmosphere, excitement, and vibrancy that “Game Day” brings to our campus community. Our athletic staff is approaching the upcoming year with high expectations, increased appreciation for what athletic competition provides us, and a greater sense of purpose in our mission to provide our fan base an athletic program that competes at a high national level.
We invite you to join with us to maximize support of our athletic programs. The Statesmen Club is your opportunity to be on our support team. We have expanded membership levels, redesigned our benefits, and created options for you to find the right level of giving for you. In addition to encouraging new memberships, I want to challenge our renewal Statesmen Club members to thoughtfully consider increasing your membership level to the next tier up or a 10% increase added to your previous year’s contribution. We don’t need you on the sideline. We need you in our lineup!
Just as our athletic teams cannot be satisfied with last season’s results, neither can our support system. Success is dependent on the financial loyalty we receive beyond our institutional budgets to allow us “to go beyond” where we are now. Now is the time for us to advance our programs!
In return for your support and membership in the Statesmen Club, we pledge our best effort to give our patrons a positive game day experience. We want your family to enjoy Statesmen Athletics and have convenience in parking, seating, Delta State apparel, concessions, and youth activities. The Statesmen Club is an integral factor in providing for the excellence of the program. Through donations of DSU supporters, The Statesmen Club is able to provide financial support for student-athletes participating in 13 varsity sports, as well as cheerleading.

Statesmen Club Fiscal Year Ends – All Pledges Due in Full
Kids (12 and under) are invited to join the Future Statesmen Kids Club and membership has its benefits!
Former Statesmen and Lady Statesmen are encouraged to join the Varsity Club for an additional contribution of $14. The amount corresponds to the fourteen national championships earned here at Delta State.
Membership in the Legends Society is reserved for donors who have accumulated $25,000 or more in giving to athletics funding campaigns. With a sustained annual Statesmen Club Membership of $500 or more, members will be invited to participate in public acknowledgment ceremony at home events.
Delta State Athletics prides itself as a self-sustaining athletic department, affording nearly 400 student-athletes in 13 intercollegiate varsity sports the opportunity to be champions in the classroom, in competition, and in the community. In addition to supporting the 14 sport programs, there are other areas that provide assistance to our student-athletes and their quest for excellence. Examples such as strength & conditioning, sports medicine, sports nutrition, mentoring and leadership development to name a few.
The mission of The Statesmen Club is to aid the Athletics Department in the form of student-athlete scholarships, funding for facility improvements, supplement funding to individual sports, and in many other ways necessary to have an outstanding athletics program.
